A Community Arts Center

Wonder Wagon!

2020 Parade Participants

What is the Wonder Wagon?

The Wonder Wagon is a mobile arts service dedicated to building connections and encouraging expression by bringing free art experiences to rural communities across Humboldt County.

Among its many offerings include GIANT bubbles, doodle murals, sidewalk chalk, hula hoops, along with FREE art kits and colorful ribbon sticks that you can bring home!

The friendly and experienced Wonder Wagon team leads youth activities and on-site workshops. These can include shadow puppetry, mask making, book and zine making, painting, drawing, collage, fairy wings and wand decoration, improv games, and guided movement.

Want the Wonder Wagon at your event?

Email wonderwagon@arcataplayhouse.org if you are interested in the Wagon at your afterschool program, birthday party, housing units, community festivals, etc. We would love to work with nonprofits, small events, and schools to appear for free or low cost.

Where has the Wonder Wagon been?

Humboldt Plaza Apartments, Oyster Festival, Fairy Festival, McKinleyville Family Resource Center, Freshwater Park, Loleta Elementary School, Sequoia Park Zoo, Creamery Field, KHUM block party in Redway, Yurok Tribe Wellness Coalition in Klamath, Garberville Farmers Market, Bridgeville UFO Festival, Eureka Boys and Girls Club, and the Arcata Plaza.
