Humboldt Hot Air, KMUD, KIDE, and Wolf Den Radio present: Redwood Region Radio Rendezvous, aka R4, on September 7th from 9am-5:30pm at the Arcata Playhouse! R4 will be an all day conference for our region's community radio workers and beyond. We will be hosting a full day of panels, workshops, and speakers. Topics will include multilingual radio, youth programming, new LPFM radio stations, emergency preparedness, interview skills, and more. Join us in building up our region's unique grassroots radio community; sharing knowledge and resources; and making connections to unite our work and strengthen programming across the region.

Keynote speaker 6-8pm: For our keynote speaker, we are thrilled to present Rami Almeghari, a Gaza based reporter from KPFA. Rami Almeghari is a veteran Palestinian freelance English-language journalist & journalism lecturer, based in the Gaza Strip. For over two decades now, Almeghari has worked as a writer and reporter for English-speaking Radios, TVs and websites. He is also an Arabic-language poet. Rami will be coming to R4 live from Gaza via zoom.

Stay tuned for more information regarding panelists and specific workshop details. We can't wait to bring this event to our region, and hope you can make it! Please reach out to Lauren, Joseph or Neroli with any questions.
