We Are Here: The Big Read Finale

We Are Here: The Big Read Finale is the final celebration of the chosen book "We Are Here: Poetry In Nature" by Ada Limòn. Over the course of the past few months, Playhouse Arts in collaboration with the Humboldt County Library, has held discussions, writing workshops, and performances inspired around a shared literary work.

The book was made available to anyone who wanted to participate, and from it artworks were inspired and created.

Come and see a display of people's chosen favorite poems on display, an art wall featuring created works, and stroll around the Marsh to happen upon live art. Performances will range from poetry readings, flute playing, choral singing, interpretive dancing, and more. Enjoy art in nature as we celebrate the beauty of where we live and work, displayed through human artistic expression.
