Trumpet, clarinet and trombone, all playing at once over piano, bass and drums: that's the sound New Orleans gave jazz. On November 20, After Hours grows to a six-piece band for a night of New Orleans music, from Jelly Roll Morton and Fats Waller to Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong and Wynton Marsalis. Ramsey Isaacs (drums), Matt Seno (piano) and Lee Phillips (bass) are joined by James Zeller (trombone), Billy Juan (trumpet) and Dan Horton (clarinet and saxophone), following September's sold-out Coltrane night. It's music all six of us love, and we've wanted to play a night of it for a long time.
