About the event

Dr. Lyla June Johnston will share her research in precolonial Indigenous land stewardship techniques. Debunking the myths of Terra Nullius and the “primitive Indian”, she shows how the Americas were sculpted, manicured, clipped, pruned, and vivified by sophisticated land management practices that created abundance for humans and non-humans. She shares how these ancient yet profound techniques can guide and support humanity today. 


Each lunchbox in the series comes with homemade soup, salad, bread, and a beverage. Soups vary daily, with meat and vegetarian options. Take your lunch break at the Playhouse with a homemade meal and an inspiring art talk at the Zero To Fierce Festival Lunchbox Series!
