Soulraiser: A gathering of poetry, music, and spoken word

Feeling the need to gather? With so much going on in the world, we need community now more than ever. Join us for Soulraiser, a fundraiser for fire relief and rebuilding efforts for those affected by the Arcata fire on January 2, 2026.

The night will feature poetry by Therese Fitzmaurice and A Reason To Listen, David Holper, Laura Muñoz, Jacqueline Dandeneau, Jeff DeMark,  Kaite Gurin, Mo Desir, Jeff Woodke, and more, plus DJ Mobius spinning tunes in between. After an intermission, stay for an open mic welcoming music, poetry, and spoken word. Come share your voice, or simply be present in community.

The event will end at 9:00 PM, so folks can head over to Humboldt Brews Arcata afterward for Arcata Rising (from noon - midnight), a community benefit in support of those affected by the fire.
